EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES

Soundness Evaluation/Lameness

PRE has the clinical knowledge and diagnostic capability to evaluate your horse for potential performance limiting orthopedic issue or a potential new purchase. PRE’s state of the art equipment allows for PRE to specialize in lameness issues, pre-purchase examinations, and advanced regenerative medicine as a treatment option. PRE utilizes digital radiology, digital ultrasonography, diagnostic nerve blocks, joint injections, therapeutic shoeing, and regenerative medicine to correctly diagnose and treat your lameness issues.

Regenerative Medicine

PRE offers advanced regenerative medicine options for your advanced orthopedic issues. These treatments include adipose derived stem cells, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Protein (IRAP). These products stimulate the body to regenerative healthy tissue where an injury has occurred. Instead of treating with anti-inflammatories such as bute or steroid injections, regenerative medicine’s goal is to replace the damage tissue with tissue that is as close to the original healthy tissue as possible.

Equine Dentistry

Paso Robles Equine (PRE) offers routine equine dental exams and if warranted has the equipment to equilibrate (float) your horse’s mouth. Paso Robles Equine (PRE) has both the motorized and hand floats necessary to correct sharp points, malocclusions, waves, hooks, and other dental abnormalities. Minor extractions such as retained caps or deciduous (baby) teeth can also be preformed. Don’t let dental problems become a performance problem. Call for complete equine dental exam.

Diagnostics

PRE offers advanced diagnostics for all of your horse’s needs. Whether it is a complex lameness or internal medicine case, PRE offers the diagnostics your horse requires. State of the art digital ultrasonography and digital radiology allow PRE to correctly assess issues ranging from lameness, dental conditions, shoeing balance, pneumonia, to reproductive. PRE works with Antech laboratories which allow access to a complete veterinary diagnostic laboratory for all your testing needs.

Preventative Medicine

Preventative medicine and routine patient care such as vaccinations, Coggins, deworming, routine physical exams, health certificates, and nutrition consulting are offered at Paso Robles Equine (PRE). All of these services are designed to keep your horse living a healthy, long life. If you have any questions about your horse’s health, please feel free to call.
